MIRIAM Jimenez-Saavedra
Ms. Jimenez-Saavedra is a Nevada State Certified Spanish Interpreter. She is the founder and general manager of the Las Vegas Interpreters Connection, LLC which has been servicing Southern and Northern Nevada since 1998.
Ms. Jimenez-Saavedra has helped improve the professional level of interpreters in her state in her twenty five plus years as a professional interpreter.
She pioneered the creation of a full time position in North Las Vegas Municipal Court; and was instrumental in designing internal processes for coordination and evaluation of interpreter assignments at the Clark County Eighth Judicial District Court for hundreds of interpreters.
Ms. Jimenez-Saavedra was among the very first group of Nevada interpreters to become state certified and received special recognition by the Nevada Supreme Court. She has also served as an official trainer for the State of Nevada Certified Interpreters Program. Moreover, she has worked as an interpreter and as a trainer for Lionbridge Interpretation Services (formerly Bowne Global Solutions). Ms. Jimenez-Saavedra has presented at various national and state interpreters and translation association conferences and has also been instrumental in training for attorneys and judges working with court interpreters. She has been the voice over actor featured in language learning programs and self guided tours.
She is continuously learning and enjoys being a part of the ever changing world of linguists.
